Philippine election 2007 seems to be the dirtiest election I have ever seen since I started voting. Numerous election- related deaths and intimidation have been reported; the most unlikely people to be in government position filed their candidacies; questionable people are either running or endorsing candidates; and public officials blatantly violating election rules.

The following are prohibited acts on May 14, election day:

Campaigning
• Selling, offering, buying, serving or taking liquor
• Giving, accepting free transportation, food, drinks, things of value
• Soliciting votes or undertaking any propaganda for or against any candidate or any political party within the polling place or within 30 meters thereof

Vote not later than 3PM. Voting starts at 7am and ends at 3PM. Don’t deny yourself of your suffrage for going to your precinct late.
Postpone your drinking sessions. Intoxicating liquors are banned from May 13 to May 14.
