Trillanes will be proclaimed on Friday

The long wait will soon be over for Antonio Trillanes and his supporters. The detained opposition candidate will be proclaimed as the 11th senator on Friday, according to the comelec.

The National Citizens’ Movement for Free Elections (Namfrel) said that senatorial candidates in the top eight spots could be considered “safe” and that they would not oppose the Comelec should the eight be proclaimed winners on MAY 26.
