May 24: The 8 "sure" senatorial winners
The National Citizens’ Movement for Free Elections (Namfrel) said that senatorial candidates in the top eight spots could be considered “safe” and that they would not oppose the Comelec should the eight be proclaimed winners on MAY 26.
As of May 24,11:03 am, the following are the 8 “sure” senatorial winners:
- Loren Legarda (GO)
- Francis Joseph “Chiz” Escudero (GO)
- Panfilo “Ping” Lacson (GO)
- Manuel “Manny” Villar (GO)
- Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan (IND)
- Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino (GO)
- Edgardo “Ed” Angara (TU)
- Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan (IND)
