How you can help COMELEC do better
I actually got this information from Dexter’s blog. James Jimenez has set up a forum where everyone can say something “on all things electoral”.
I think this can be a good opportunity for everyone to say something constructive that in a way can help COMELEC do better in handling the present and future elections. Poll watchers, for example, can participate in the discussion, cite their experiences and point out the problems during voting and counting of votes. Suggestions and tips on how the poll body can improve in the handling of elections are also very valuable.
For details, please check James Jimenez’s blog: jimenez.wordpress.com
Thanks for the mention, rhodilee. I hope that people will take advantage of the forum; but I hope even more that people won’t lose interest once again, once the dust from the ‘07 polls has settled.
Thanks again.
Thanks Rhodilee for the mention of my Election Blog.. Election fever is going down.. So what part of politics do you intend to focus your blog.. Well me I think I have to focus on what are this winners will do for the country so that by 2010 people can search my blog and help them decide if hey will stillboth those guys.
@ James Jimenez, I do hope many people will participate in your forum. The electorate seldom has the opportunity to tell the comelec directly their election-related problems. We no longer have to make “sumbong” to the mainstream media about some problems with the election before some actions can be taken. I just hope too that the electorate’s concerns that will be posted in the forum are not trivial and that the comelec can do something about many of these concerns.
@dex, I will continue to blog about the issues and the result of the 2007 election. I have learned a lot from Janet Toral’s article that I intend on writing my own stand on the issues that emerge this election. I also want to compare the performance of winners relative to their platforms. Blogging about the coming brgy election is quite difficult but I will take the challenge. As for other political issues, I have another blog pulitikanganaman where I make commentaries on Philippine Issues.
